Kate, at 5, has a keen ear for dialect. Please observe the following:
Mom (to dad, listing something or other; I wasn't really paying attention): A) blah, blah, something, blah. B) blah, blah, etc.
Kate (cutting into the conversation): Are you from Canada? Because I just heard you say, "eh!"
The conversation paused at this point and the train of thought lost to unrestrained laughter.
